Tired of the same old costume shop? Try Watts. Don't let the frumpy name fool you: if you're not impressed by the homage to our founder, the brilliant thespian Sir Albert Watts, who brought Watts Costumes to Vancouver from England over 65 years ago, then think of us by this acronym:

At Watts Costumes you won't be greeted by a surly counter clerk, tossing you a thrift-store throwaway bedecked with stains, cigarette holes and odors that make you feel a tad more intimate with your predecessor than you might wish. And then double-charged for the privilege.

No. Here your festive spirit will ignite the moment you ascend the stairs to our colourful establishment - an extravaganza of dazzling costumery, efficiently managed by our happy and helpful team. (Equally happy and helpful at Halloween but a bit more bedraggled.) The rest of the year keeps us busy with corporate events, Christmas, Easter, theme weddings, theatre, the film industry and just about any occasion you can imagine.

Our 1950's jukebox, disco ball, barber chair and theatre seats add to the distinctive ambiance. The majority of our costumes are one-of-a kind, lovingly crafted by our very own in-house designer.

We love your kids, but we don't outfit them: we rent adult sizes only, along with our large selection of wigs and accessories.

Is there an Elvis or Marilyn lurking inside you? Have you always secretly dreamed of being an Egyptian Queen or a Pharaoh, or longed to become a Mafioso gangster with his moll, a flapper. Wish fulfillment is our forte.
